Sends Nova's notifications through your own SMTP server, with no external mail service required.
Encrypted connection
Encrypts the connection to your mail server via STARTTLS or SSL.
Encrypted password
Stores the SMTP password encrypted, never in plain text.
In the admin interface
Is set up and managed in the admin interface.
Central dispatcher
Runs through Nova's central notification dispatch, which supports additional channels such as Microsoft Teams as a plugin.

Integration and identity lifecycle
Technical integration
SMTP to your mail server, optionally secured with STARTTLS or SSL. Credentials are stored encrypted in Nova's configuration; the password is never kept in plain text.

Notifications keep the platform's processes moving: anyone involved in a workflow learns about it by email without having to watch the interface. Additional channels can be added through the plugin system, such as Microsoft Teams for approvals.
